Summary:

In Los Angeles, FBI agent Ana Grey, the orphaned daughter of Mexican immigrants, investigates a doctor accused of addicting a patient to drugs. As Grey begins her probe she receives a call from a Salvadoran woman claiming to be her cousin and asking help in a police matter, a call she dismisses as a hoax until she learns the woman worked for the doctor. A criminal probe turns into two probes, the other involving Grey's family past.
